Project management
This is my favorite. Really! Put it shortly, it is all about turning your freely-floating ideas into detailed technical documentation, which can be used by the programmers.
What is this all about? Lets suppose, and I am sure, you have an idea. Idea of how some new functionality must be added to your online catalog. Well, for you, a product has a title, a description, a price, probably at least one image, etc. All these are standard parameters, and everyone knows about them.
Well, it is not true.
The computers know nothing about them. The computers (hosting server, if you prefer) execute commands. The programmers’ job is to tell (or to teach) the computer what is “iPhone,” and how it can be described. To do this, the programmer must be supplied with the rules! At your end, the name of the product is “iPhone”. It is that simple! But it is not. You must define the rules, which validate the product name. Can the product name include numbers, or just letters, or any combination of them? How long can be the product name? Should the catalog search use the product name when searching by keyword, or only the product description must be parsed?
This was just a basic example. When it comes to business software, it can be much harder to define all the rules and to supply the programmers with a quality technical documentation. This is a key factor for fast and quality work.
Hire us and let us consult you all the way. When you have an idea, but do not know how to bring it to life, this is the road map:
- Describe your ideas to the project manager. He/she will be responsible to create the technical documentation of the project.
- Having the technical documentation, define and build the team of professionals you need - how many programmers, which skills they must demonstrate, any designers and quality assurance testers?
- Start the programming part of the project. At this step, the technical documentation and the developers team start working together.
- Get the final result. It is not only what you see. About 70% of an iceberg is under the water. The same is with the software. What you are getting, is not only what you see, but technical documentation, user manuals, education and the most important - software source. It is yours, it belongs to you and you can hire any other programmer to do any customization you desire.
